Once an unusable, soggy slope running along the back of the house, now a haven for people and wildlife. This design utilises a trio of ascending L-shaped gabion retaining walls to create a series of generous steppes, crowned with an Ufficio Urban Pod. The different steppes include terraces to sit and relax, a bubbling boulder water feature and lots of lush herbaceous planting to soften the hardscape. Trees are still to be planted which will add vertical punctuation as well as create a sense of enclosure and seclusion.
